Non-Profit Housing Developers
Non-profit housing developers seek to provide quality communities for modest income people by preserving and expanding affordable housing choices. These can include housing programs such as project-based Housing Choice Vouchers (formerly Section 8), affordable dwelling units programs, tax credit rentals, as well as programs to for first-time homebuyers and to assist homeowners with critical housing rehabilitation.

Non-profits may sponsor specific purpose housing, such as Wesley Housing Developmentā€™s Agape House. They often have information on affordable housing rentals that are not accessed through the local Housing Choice Voucher lists.

Non-profit developers work on their own and in concert with state, local and federal governments and for-profit entities.
