Thrifty Thursdays
Britepaths provides free one-time budgeting classes to anyone in Northern Virginia interested in learning about budgeting and credit reports. Classes are from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and are held on the Thursday evenings throughout Fairfax County. See
Basic Budgeting for details and to download a class/informational flyer.
Classes are open to the public. A referral is not necessary. Register by calling 703-273-8829 or emailing.
Financial Mentoring
Britepaths offers personal, one-on-one financial guidance to clients referred by a social worker. Those accepted must attend a Britepaths-sponsored Financial Counseling Clinic or Budget Class (Thrifty Thursday) described above. Mentors and clients are matched with similar work schedules and living/working locations. Both commit to meeting twice a month for one-hour sessions. Ideally, the counseling will last for six months or longer. Learn more at Financial Mentoring
