Solar Data for Northern Virginia

Solar Energy

Since 2014 the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) working with its non-profit partner, the Local Energy Alliance Program, have operated the Solarize NoVA program to promote solar in the region. From 2014 through 2022 the program has resulted in more than 6MW of new solar. You can find our Solarize NoVA Dashboard here.

NVRC has also developed a Northern Virginia region-wide tool where you can calculate how much solar the roof of your home and building can potentially generate. Visit the NoVA Solar Map for more information.
