In a paper, “Strategic International Engagement at the Local & Regional Level,” prepared for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung USA, NVRC senior regional planner Dr. Dale Medearis and co-author Ambassador Richard Kauzlarich (ret) (George Mason University Schar School of Policy and Government) highlight NVRC’s 20-year-old model of strategic, purposeful global engagement, the outcomes benefitting communities of Northern Virginia and the potential for replication by other local governments across the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States.
