NVRC's Regional Demographer has posted on the NOVA Region Dashboard new 2020 Census population and race/ethnicity data visualizations, tables, and write-ups of key findings. A summary of the NOVA Region Dashboard updates follows.
The “population overall” dashboard of counties and cities has a Decennial Census section. The Decennial Census data section now provides two additional statistical measures to display population in tabular format. Absolute numerical change and percent change for the decades from 1990 to 2000 have been added.

NVRC’s initial analysis released in August for 2020 census race and ethnicity data only included 2020 Census data but not comparisons to past years. For this release, several new graphs and tables have been added or expanded to include 2000 and 2010 comparisons to the recently released 2020 Census.
The “race and ethnicity overall” and “race and ethnicity towns” web pages have a new and improved more user-friendly design for navigating the data charts and tables. Each of these webpages now have six race and ethnicity dashboards. Once on one of these webpages, you will want to click on one of the listed dashboards to view its key findings and data.
